Pros

Northside Hospital has been a great place to work. I have been here 18 years. There is great teamwork, great focus on patient care and safety and great benefits for employees.

Cons

Commute from outer suburbs to Atlanta hospital can be tedious but Northside has great opportunities at Cherokee and Forsyth counties.

Student nurse extern

Pros

-some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
