Pros

(my floor has) good manager, decent hourly, no hospital fee if you have a baby while being an employee at the hospital

Cons

High pressure/expectations, some politics, average insurance for the size of the hospital, McKesson could be better and we still have some paper charts, hospital is in an expensive area so many of us live further out (from Atl campus)

Student nurse extern

Pros

-some of the nurses on the floor were nice -gets your foot in the door with a hospital as a student -supportive management on the floor i was hired on

Cons

-low pay for what you put up with -was mainly working as a patient care tech as opposed to a nurse extern -nurses on the med/surg floors weren’t very nice and willing to help -don’t feel like i got enough training -the pre shift anxiety was horrendous
