Pros
After the "Honeymoon" period of the job was over, there were not many pro's to working as a tech support rep. Good benefits, big extravagant company parties. But understand that is all part of the psychological game they play on there employees.
Cons
This company is taking complete advantage of the poor economy by hiring well over qualified candidates, im talking everyone has associate degree's and up, and paying them $10-11 an hour for a tech support job. Tier 1 is very poorly managed because of the high turnover rate. They put an extreme amount of pressure on you and nit pick about everything once you graduate to handling Subaru tech support. The company pushes as much work on as little staff that they can keep. During my stint, there was not one person on tier 1 there longer than 7-8 months. I only lasted 4 months because I could not take the abuse any longer, $10 just was not worth losing my sanity. Dont settle for this job if you are trying to get experience to take elsewhere because trust me there isnt much you can take with you besides a headache. They are a niche company and experience wouldnt go anywhere else. Everyone is extremely overworked and under paid, you will find that out fast. There is not much hope in getting promotions there because Tier 2 only gets paid $12 an hour and they are worked twice as hard. Any promotions are not really promotions they dont give you a raise and just make you feel important cause your doing more work.
