Pros
As a PM you will have amazing exposure to some projects with major global events including the Olympics, World Cup, World Expo and potentially other bespoke projects working with leading architects/designers. Opportunity to gain some great tangible PM skills as well as operate with autonomy.
Cons
Project structure for large scale projects can be precarious and unprepared. PMs can be left out to dry taking the brunt of wider project consequences not their individual responsibility. No medium to long term development of employees in terms of educational options, promotions or progressing in congruence with their experience. Long term employees can be terminated on short notice, with no apparent reason and/or for personal reasons - no company loyalty.
