Pros

Nice colleagues, good mentors but all gone now. In the times of glory (up to 2004 or so) an interesting working place.

Cons

> A narrow-minded CEO focused on micromanagement and conflicted by personal interests that got his job secured with a gold parachute and dirty tactics. > Nepotism > The company has close to zero engineering resources in Santa Clara left, most people being either laid off, leaving or moved to the CEO's other company Bay Hub. > Every Christmas, people are being laid off, in a pathetic attempt to show the few and disappointed investors that we cut costs while "sharpening the focus"; as engineers cost more, this made the SC company close to engineer-free. > Lack of future in the actual circumstances. > When the company had money, they hired close to 1000 people in china, favoring quantity over quality; most are long gone. Therefore, O2Micro is an: > Depressing environment.
