Pros

-I work from home -Commission, if you reach and exceed your goal

Cons

I am not one to leave a review but for a company this poorly ran, it's necessary. -They do not give equal opportunities to employees. -There is absolutely no communication - policies and the way the sales departments are ran are always changing. Employees are left in the dark and have to figure things out for themselves . -Management is truly terrible, nonexistent. -Management wants you to make 300+ calls a day and are only focused on meeting metrics (utilization and occupancy), and booking appointments. They micromanage and if you are not reaching your metrics, they will put you on disciplinary action. -The dialing system is BROKEN. The dialer makes calls for you and is consistently calling current patients. ineligible leads, and people who have asked to be placed on the "Do Not Contact" list. -We HARASS leads. What I mean by this is that we are calling leads everyday, multiple times a day. Some people will receive over 10 calls from Oak Street Health daily and are rightfully very upset and will cuss you out. -We are calling aged leads, people who have been contacted every day for the past 1-3 years and have expressed that they are not interested, but we are told to keep calling. -Management is aware of these ongoing issues but does not appear to be resolving them. It's been a disorganized mess for months. -My team lead is no leader. She lacks communication and empathy. She micromanages and is far too focused on meeting metrics. As stated above, if you are not meeting occupancy, utilization, or your goal, she will make that known. My team has lost several people due to the mental exhaustion that comes with this job. Additionally, she does not give everyone on her team equal opportunity nor does she take the time to address any questions. -I started in a training class of roughly 40 people. We are down to 8 at the 9 month mark. The training was far different than the actual job. -The hourly pay is low. There is a chance to earn a nice commission check, if you're able to book appointments, but that's difficult to do with the dialing system calling aged leads and current patients. -You'll have moments where you're able to connect with prospects and get them in the door. In those moments you'll feel a sense of accomplishment, but with how disorganized this department is, you feel like you're wasting your time most days. The list of cons goes on. I hope you weigh your options before you decide to work here.

Pros

Better pay than other scribe jobs with full benefits available including a 401k. Part of a smaller clinical setting with a more open feeling. Care team staff is nice.

Cons

You will be overworked and overwhelmed with the amount of responsibilities you will be responsible for, including the documentation required for notes as a scribe. You will be micromanaged on metrics from day 1 of being part of a care team after only 3 weeks of training that does not prepare you anywhere near enough. Depending on your provider and their personality your experience will heavily vary from you having a supportive and warm experience with a PCP that cares about you and wants you to learn, to a PCP that seems nice but is incredibly overbearing. There is never enough time to finish all the work and you will amass a backlog of notes and feel pressured to work overtime to catch up on work.
