Pros

Ive worked at oakwood for 2 years, and i couldnt have asked for a better job as a student. My boss is lovely and very considerate, and i am friendly with all my colleagues. I can fit my shifts around my university degree, and can also get more shifts during the summer whilst covering my colleagues. As a student, I can take on as many hours as i can manage, but also have the option to drop hours if im struggling. My monthly reviews with my manager also ensure that im not struggling or have any questions. I would also consider working my way up after university as opposed to pursuing my degree. Couldn't have asked for a better job!

Cons

Unfortunately, Tesco colleagues are not always as accommodating as Oakwood staff and originally asked me to complete jobs that weren't my duty. However, my manager ensured that I was comfortable and knew my duties, as well as spoke to tesco managers himself.

Pros

Excellent benefits, Tesco staff discount card. Head Office very efficient and deal with queries professionally and efficiently.

Cons

Minimal training. Inexperienced Man Managers , Reliant on employees goodwill to complete work at times. Refusal to pay mileage even when expected to travel to other sites to cover work and only being paid just above minimum wage. No team mentality with Merchandisers as no budget to meet as a team.
