Pros
- You'll get to work with very talented people. Most of the folks are great engineers and there's a lot one can learn by collaboration. - There's free lunch
Cons
According to my personal experience : - Management is poor - Many senior engineers who left during my presence observed a deliberate introduction of toxicity in the work culture and reducing the leaves as well as other policies making things less and less employee friendly in the organisation. - Horrible Work-life balance - Unreasonably strict WFO mandate. Have to make up for days missed even if the reasons for not being present at office are genuine. - Management makes arbitrary decisions. Layoffs can happen at the whim of leadership deciding to "switch up business strategies" - Folks in charge not very communicative. In general, a feeling of familiarity with your managers and leads is not there. - Pay is good but if there are better offers available or similar offers available, this shouldn't be the first pick due to job security reasons. - Feedback is constantly asked but shunned upon anyone raising any concerns and policy decisions imply that no feedback is ever taken into consideration.
