Pros

Some staff are great people.

Cons

Company is stuck in the 80's. Lots of homophobic and racist language used in the office by managers. Owner constantly creeps around employees workstations when make coffee/use facilities. Owner and managers routinely become inebriated during office hours and invite friends to play pool during the day. Habitual drug use is also tolerated in the Officetest environment with some managers routinely talking about what they have taken. No benefits or sick pay included and only 20 days holiday per year. Days in excess of 12 hours are normal. Staff are provided with unsuitable work and are threatened with unemployment for any issues they may have. Officetest also considers working from home as holiday as they are unable to confirm that "you haven't gone to the beach all day". The kind of company that treats staff with indifference.

Pros

If you get to work in operations under Mr Sam Savery then you are in good hands. Great guy. If you make the utmost effort in the AM/ Sales team then I know the head of sales (David) will recognise it and praise you for it. He has been extremely kind and respectful to me also. Same goes for Simon and Andy (directors). Great people to work with. Lots of young and motivated people around you. Profitable and growing company. Safe and secure. Long term growth for the company. Received lots of respect from stakeholders. Management will do their best to listen and understand. Great culture. Free Coffee machine and snacks. Good area in London if you like the city lifestyle, food and drinks. Quarterly bonus is really good just a shame it doesn’t come in all the time due to high departmental turnover targets. Otherwise it’s a very good lump of cash when it does come.

Cons

Not much career progression depending on what you’re looking for. No flexible working conditions especially for this role. Pay could be better for the amount of admin and labour intensive functions involved. Tube/train strikes almost every month causing commuting disruptions. Heavy lifting more than often is expected in certain conditions where an electronically controlled stair trolley would be beneficial, but cost effective options were not available.
