Pros
I was always paid on time. Vacation is paid as a lump sum, whether you took time off or not. Easy to move into supervisor positions, which include a small pay increase. Points based attendance system was fair to employee, unfair to coworkers (see CONS).
Cons
New employees get worst shifts, and you can only move when there is an opening. Vacation is paid as a lump sum, time off was unpaid. When someone on the next shift calls off, someone has to stay over half their shift. I don't believe management cares about employees, you are a warm body to them. As long as they have enough bodies working, they get paid.
