Pros
- Excellent learning opportunities for newer consulting staff. - Firm values consulting staff (work life balance surveys) - New CEO (Nick Studer) has good rapport with staff and seems authentic. - Transparent performance and compensation model - expect crisp, clear feedback on strengths/ development opportunities by project. - Firm is forward thinking on flexible work arrangements for consultants, families etc.
Cons
- Majority of partners have high IQ low EQ. - Hiring focuses on Type A “red/blue” style personalities which lead to team diversity issues. You are rewarded for being aggressive and analytical. - Most senior management came from within the firm ranks and don’t have a well rounded perspective of culture, ways of working, etc. - Firm has mixed success integrating acquisitions. People who come from the outside feel out of place and tend to leave quickly. - Good luck making partner of you aren’t in a key office location. - Work life balance mixed - firm especially trying to remediate. - Principals are stuck in management limbo - managing partners, clients and teams.
