Pros

This is an opportunity much like Century 21 when you are Real Estate agent to attract, work and maintain your own private accounts...Not a place for Entry Level or those without drive! They help with the structure and framework to succeed...If there is an issue, you have someone to talk to,who will aid you in taking care of it. They will not babysit anyone, nor should they have to......Bills are paid on time, every time lending to a AAA credit rating...

Cons

If you aren't self sufficient and resourceful, find a job as this is your own business with no one to blame but yourself. At one point they had someone who independently "trained" people with ambition to be a freight broker, but not the experience. This didn't work out well for them, they could have monitored the situation closer.....sometimes computer software is a challenge..... Sometimes let carriers do them wrong and don't really use tools to punish them back.....

Pros

If you are motivated and are able to work unsupervised this is the place for you. I have been here almost 3 years and I will never leave. The owners are very attentive to needs and are always there to help with problems. The agents that work here are great! We always help each other out and everyone is really nice. The commissions are some of the best in the Industry and are always paid on time. The culture is very family like because everyone knows everyone else, we work from our homes but everyone is a phone call away. Some agencies treat you like a number and force quotas on you, but One Horn does not do that. They treat you like a member of the team.

Cons

It can be isolating to work from home, so you need to have your outside interests. The rest of the agents are always available to help and to talk to and I am here also to help anyone. The Transportation Industry is a tough one to break into, but once you do, it gets into your blood and you never want to leave.
