Pros

- Genuinely feel like you are making a difference - From early stages you get to interact with very senior stakeholders - Very interesting work, global community - Diverse and international team - Rapid development and lots of responsibility - Very good private medical insurance, ability to get therapy etc quickly and paid for - Travel opportunities - Central London location

Cons

- It is a global organisation with a big reach but in comparison the team is pretty small so there is a lot of responsibility put on everyone - It used to be extremely stressful in the run up to the Summit, it is more balanced now because of the 4 day week - The impacts of Covid-19 were very difficult for OYW because they weren't able to have live events, I think it will resume in the next 6-12 months to come but it was a hard time - The Summit period is stressful and there are a lot of last minute changes which adds extra pressure - A lot of empowered junior staff - they get promoted and given responsibility really quickly which is a good thing but they leave and go on to other jobs to get a bigger salary and title - it's great for the juniors but leads to a lot of talent churn

Pros

4 day working week 9 months of the year

Cons

Corrupt with nepotism. Rooted in white saviourism and totally closed to any suggestion of change or improvement. Built by a team of friends who fire anyone who goes against them. Ruthlessly biased, take no account of due processes and saddle those leaving with an NDA so they cannot talk about it. No reliable or trained HR team. A huge waste of a great concept.
