Pros

Very laid back culture with no politics or BS. Like most startups, the people who work here are young, smart, and hungry, but unlike most startups, the hours won't kill you, and the place isn't filled with a bunch of bros. It's also one of the only startups on the east side. Silicon Lake FTW! Beats commuting 1.5 hrs to Playa Vista. The company is growing quickly, and it seems uphill from here. Management is young but responsible and very understanding of work/life balance.

Cons

Culture is nascent & office design is bare bones. This will come with time. As a plus, it's a great opportunity to get in and shape it.

Pros

-opportunities for growth -lots of cross team collaboration -really great benefits -there are so many dogs here, it's amazing! -the org structure feels very flat, managers have good rapport with their reports -you can learn a lot here if you want to -working autonomously is encouraged, but support is always availabl

Cons

As with most startups, you're "building a plane mid-flight" so there's often a lot of ambiguity around how things will get done. If you're a problem solver or someone who likes pioneering challenges (like me) this will actually be a pro. Also, I wish we had more LaCroix flavors.

Pros

OL has a culture of empowering you to do your best work. Micromanagement is non-existent, every employee is trusted and expected to do really great work. The company is comprised of people who are young, smart and passionate about the future of home buying. Work life balance is definitely celebrated and unlike other startups I've working at, people seem to truly be friends inside and outside of work. I enjoy that type of comradery. Company came out of YC and is backed by some blue-chip VCs.

Cons

Company culture isn't clearly defined just yet, but there is strong desire/interest from employees to foster this. This will be critically important as the company grows.
