Pros

Remote, that is literally it

Cons

Backwards way of thinking, Product department is GOD and has zero interest in listening to anything any other department (especially UW) has to say. The underwriters are treated like company slaves. Do as you’re told, how dare you question Product’s decision, doesn’t matter that everyone’s forced to put in 60+ hour weeks to even try to keep up with the work volume because if it ISN’T kept up with perfectly at all times it’s unacceptable and you get fired, but sorry “it’s not in the budget” to actually hire the correct amount of employees to help any of you out so we’re just going to continue abusing and exploiting you since you’re salary and we don’t have to pay you OT. UW management is lead by a control freak micromanager with a chip on their shoulder if GOD FORBID you ever disagree with them (especially publicly). I had my workload doubled TWICE within 3 months as a set up to be let go for “failure to perform”. Management puts on a front that it’s so warm and welcoming but it’s all a facade. If I could give no stars I would.
