Pros

The owner, Lyn, is the only positive possibility for this company, only if he were to get more involved. Unfortunately Lyn is unaware of how his company is being managed and how his employees are being treated.

Cons

This company lacks leadership. Management doesn't take care of their employees, they only take care of themselves. This company doesn't appreciate employees who work long hours or who work every weekend. If you can't meet their requirements then you are a worthless asset. This is why I rated the category Work/Life Balance with a one star. Management doesn't care about the obstacles that an employee may be faced with in their personal life i.e. a significant other who also works or having young children at home. You meet their requirements or they'll make you suffer for it. This may include forcing an employee back to part time status and reducing that employee's pay or even putting an employee on a final notice without any prior documentation to support their claims of a problematic employee.

Pros

The manager is literally the best manager to work for. She's fun, nice, energetic, and she's started out in the beginning like we all have, so she definitely knows how to keep the place running smoothly. The once a month anniversary treats is exciting, and the sometimes pizza days. The employee discount and the health benefit is a huge plus.

Cons

Hot in the workplace but there's many fans to keep cool. The PTO is pretty standard, and having to be fast by keeping up with their number goal gets pretty stressful sometimes if there's an issue or slowdown that you can't help.

Pros

Many nice, friendly coworkers including some management.

Cons

No AC for warehouse, there are fans but they don't do much when it's 90+ degrees and you're doing physical labor. I've worked in warehouses before and at Opitz I was ready to work hard, however it was so hot I couldn't even concentrate or keep count of items I was processing. Any upsides of this job were cancelled out by suffering in the heat. Very cruel in my opinion, you can do better. Oh but if you have an office position (in the same building) and sit and type all day, you get AC :)
