More cohesion between clinical staff and residential staff (although it is getting better).

I love working at OPI! You can tell that the company truly cares about helping our participants (aka clients) and will do whatever it takes to help them reach their goals. It is so amazing to see all the successful graduations for participants that have put in the hard work while at OPI to get to a better place in life and who are ready to transition towards independent living. I have been working here a loooong time (10+ years) which is not common in this industry. I really feel that OPI takes care of its employees too which is a big part of why I have wanted to stay here for so long.

There is tons of communication amongst the team so you have to really stay on top of your time management to keep up with this AND it is absolutely worth it since helps the entire team stay on the same page. This is also just a tough industry to work in. Due to the nature of the work, its not all sunshine and butterflies which means it is incredibly important to practice your own self care as an employee working in the mental health field.
