Pros

I left the hospital to come work for Option care 8 years ago. Not only do I have more flexible hours but the pay is better. I get to be home with my kids in the mornings and evenings. My management teams knows me and I'm not treated just a number on the hospital floor. I have the best patient's and truly look forward to seeing them,

Cons

Nursing staff have to be comfortable with providing care in homes and thinking independently to solve issues that come up. Need to have proficient IV skills.

Pros

Compensation and annual bonus structure

Cons

Despite the fact that leadership touts patient centered care—their actions prove they only care about one thing: profits. Every metric, KPI, and action item is solely focused around maximizing profits. Severely understaffed teams and lack of support from leadership leaves teams vulnerable to mistakes. Also office politics matter way more than anything else. If your leadership likes you? You can do no wrong and everything will be swept under the rug. If they feel threatened by you? You can rest assured you will micromanaged and managed out. A once great company has morphed into a money grab. But that’s also what you expect when you have a COO who has zero operational experience.
