Pros
Middle management and below are usually friendly people
Cons
- Cost cutting measures across the company while keeping in place dumb expenses like an office for the "culture and collaboration." - Layoffs and high turnover all over the place. - Pay is WELL below market and raises are held like a carrot on a stick, and absolutely never given out. Bonuses are based on company performance which is obviously always bad. During covid they gave out worthless stock options instead of cash bonuses. - Leadership has literally no concrete vision and they just run in random directions and change their minds all of the time. - Sales literally cannot sell, partially through incompetence but mostly because the product is a hodgepodge of random features custom build for clients that don't communicate with each other. Who would actually buy this? - They throw around the term "AI" and partner with robotics companies to get marketing leads but it's all just hot air. There's actually nothing under the hood. - Clients leave left and right. Optoro is literally just limping along by just always having one or two major retailers not fire us to help keep the lights on. - So much custom work that's never repeatable and gets zero adoptions from other clients. We might as well be Target or Gap's personal development org. - Leadership is an elitist club of old minds that make decisions in a vacuum and blatantly ignore gaps in the product. - Anyone who challenges leadership is denied growth, let go, or quits.
