Pros
I can work from home.
Cons
The company views you as a number and will treat you as such. I was recently told that my job was going to be eliminated, but instead of offering a severance package I was being moved to another job. The job is a call center job for home delivery of pharmaceuticals. We had to make a decision in 2 business days, however, we were not told if the job was remote or not, if we are receiving or making calls, who we would be talking to, or what our schedule is. I accepted, but found out the business day before the new job started that I would need to have 5am-11pm availability, 7 days a week. My schedule previously was 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. This was a HUGE shock to all of us, including the people who were facilitating the transfers. They thought that we knew what the job entailed. The entire situation was handled so poorly. There was virtually no communication, we still haven't received any information about who we're supposed to reach out to in HR. We won't find out who our manager is or what shift we will have for another 2 weeks. Needless to say, I have put in my resignation notice.
