Pros
Fabrics are fun to work with and coworkers very nice to work with
Cons
The owner treated us like we were her peasants. She often spoke "down" to us in a condescending manner. She'd even remind us of how grateful we should be to be working for her because we "could never go anywhere else and make more money" than she was paying us. I didn't feel job security at Opuzen. The owner would speak so poorly to my coworkers that some of them would begin to have tears well up in their eyes after she'd spoken so disrespectfully to them. It was a very hostile work environment. You could feel the tension and unease among all of us from the moment the owner stepped foot into the office until the moment she left. I would feel fear as soon as I heard the office door open because I was nervous about her arrival. I even felt relief when she was in the next room and not in the same room with me because that meant my chances of being emotionally abused that day were lower. When she was in the office, we were holding our breath. When she left, we exhaled. My workload was heavy and unreasonable. The owner was so moody that I didn't even feel comfortable speaking to her because I was afraid that she would start a confrontation with me or think of something to be angry with me about. When she was nice, it still made me nervous because I was unsure of how long it would last. I still experience a bit of anxiety from this job when someone around me is wearing a scent that is close to the scent the owner wore every day. Yes, this job was that traumatizing for me.
