Pros
I have worked for many nonprofit agencies over the past 30 years and hands down OCP is the best work culture I have experienced. The people here live and breath collaboration, teamwork and sharing information. They walk the walk on creating a person-focused environment and don't tolerate toxicity. You get good corrective feedback and things are not left to simmer. New people are welcomed and supported, not left to just figure things out on their own. The benefits are terrific, for example 21 days of vacation leave, 12 days of sick leave, and 11 paid holidays per year for every full-time person. If you are the kind of person who puts 100% in, you will get 1000% back. The Executive Director started here as an hourly clinician and has worked her way up over the past 16 years so she understands the interventions and the agency in a visceral way. OCP serves low-income and under-served families on OHP. The agency is stable and actively hiring for a number of positions as we expand our services. If you want to make a difference in kids' lives, this is the place for you.
Cons
I'm no Pollyana but truthfully I can't think of anything that's truly a "con." Every work place has its idiosyncracies and little flare ups. Here those are minimal, intentionally.
