If you are a non-Irish citizen, be prepared for a different set of rules. I have witnessed and experienced clear nationality-based discrimination regarding promotions, where qualified international staff are overlooked for less experienced local candidates. More alarmingly, the company’s response to internal grievances is not to fix the problem, but to protect management at all costs. I have seen witnesses intimidated with PIPs and individuals threatened by in-house legal counsel for raising regulatory concerns. The internal compliance and HR functions appear to operate as a 'defense shield' for management rather than a fair or ethical department. If you value your career and your mental health, look elsewhere. This is not a place where your hard work will be rewarded if your passport doesn't fit the 'preferred' profile.
