      Pros

      Competitive pay, superb benefits, tons of paid vacation, ergonomic work environments, employee education grants, 401k program, life insurance, leadership that genuinely cares, lots of opportunities for growth, positive company values and triple bottom line. Green buildings, good training opportunities for staff, overall positive impact.

      Cons

      No paid holidays, they do not pay the same wages for employees not working within Seattle city limits, no parking at some locations, co-op office staff are sometimes oblivious to what it is like working in the stores/what customers and members really want (more of a focus on branding and image than keeping all core ideals long-time members hold dear). As a store employee, you can get discounts at some local gyms; I wish they had discounts for childcare, too!

      Pros

      Low stress side gig - combination of customer service and dishwashing, assisting nice chefs, helping adults and kids learn to cook. PCC discount is great. Customers are typically happy, chefs are good at what they do and easy to work with, classrooms are nice working spaces.

      Cons

      The cooking program has recently been revamped and is mostly meat-forward date nights. Current upper management has a top-down style and has burned bridges with many local chefs and past assistants.
