Pros

It (barely) pays the bills. The people are great however they continuously lay off the competent folks to make room for incompetence.

Cons

- Incompetence from middle management to the top of the organization. - A place where bright careers go to die. - Unless you are a senior manager or above, there really isn't any path to career success. - Everything is done on an ad hoc basis, nothing seems planned or thought out. - All employees are over worked and there is no concern on the welfare of the employee base. - There is a culture of everything being the lower level employee's fault, no one at the top is capable of being wrong. - If you are reading this review and thinking about applying to PDC. Close the application and apply somewhere else, you will kick yourself later if you continue with the application.

Pros

Was a great company to work for before acquisition by Brady in 2012.

Cons

- PDC is a subsidiary of Brady Corporation since 2012. Brady stated that PDC would be ran as an independent company. However, Brady has micromanaged the company since acquisition. - Brady makes poor decisions that undermined PDC’s productivity. - Many Townhall meetings Brady mgmt would complain that PDC was a bad investment due to problems in manufacturing and getting product to customers. However, Brady had replaced all of PDC’s experienced manufacturing personnel with people inexperienced in manufacturing PDCs type of products. - Brady is constantly laying off personnel and their responsibilities are dumped on already overwhelmed employees. - New employees are rarely hired to work at the Valencia CA site; jobs are now usually located at Brady’s other facilities in Wisconsin, Utah, or Pennsylvania.
