Pros

Good fashion. Delightful customers. Reasonable target. Not bad working hours/shifts comparing to lots of retail jobs.

Cons

Incompetent and inconsistent in-store management. No HR system is available to give feedbacks regarding the unfair and rude management. Racist remarks have been made to me. Management initiated chats in working group to make negative comments about my country at working hour. Another employee who has the same ethnicity background as me quitted after an insulting name calling incident. Different rules to management themselves, people in their favour and others. During my employment, I have requested to sign an official contract several times. I got strange answers that it 's in Italy. Sometimes, the rota is very last minute. I am always open to be flexible and available when there is a stuffing shortage. There was only one time I really couldn't do a cover day, I kinda of received a warning. When I requested my holiday one month ahead both by writing and speaking, the last minute rota still shows my shifts. Management have literally used these words to me: we are not equal; other employees are my priority; you can't speak your own language to your customers from your country...After I put down my notice one month in advance, management confirmed with me twice that I will receive my last month commission bonus one month later as usual and also my reference letter via email. In the end, I received neither. Then the management ignored my email, message and calls. Without any result, I contacted Acas and get ready for the employment tribunal or court. At this point, the regional management took from there and helped me to sort things out. I do appreciate their effort and time, although I think the store management should take the responsibility and communicate with me properly. According to the company policy, I am not in the payroll for the new month so my last month commission bonus won't be paid. And this term of condition only states in the official contract I have always asked for but never had a chance to read and sign, so I am not aware of this term and the in-store management has given me wrong information so it is their error. Personally, I would understand and forgive people who make mistakes but to avoid to explain and apologise isn't decent behaviour. My experience of bad management only reflects the boutique I was working in. I have met other amazing managers and people from Pinko and always wanted to work with. Hope things get better for everyone!

Pay day was always delayed so you would get check eve eh 18-20 days 😤
