Was better when I started but is just eh, fine currently - Associate Scientist PPD Employee Review

Pros

Generous PTO policy, loved that there was a PTO carry-over policy, and accrual rates were fine. Internal mobility has been fine, so long as you meet the 12 month minimum before you try to apply for positions on other teams/departments.

Cons

After the acquisition and the transition to Thermo Fisher and CRG, PTO has been dwarfed massively. Communication between management and bench analysts has significantly declined after more finalizations of the acquisition and the switch to Thermo.

Pros

Provided health insurance. Good coworkers Good exposure to team at client site If you have a good technical lead, the job can be great!

Cons

You have 2 bosses (Technical lead from Client Site) and your PPD boss. PPD Boss does not know what is going on If you have a bad technical lead, your life can be miserable. Pay is low No protection from abusive technical lead (coworkers on same team can have a drastically different experience)
