Pros
You learn to appreciate other jobs after having worked in a place like this. The office has a nice view of the East River, and you will bonds with the other employees due to the small office and chaotic circumstances - kind of like inmates. You'll never forget the words - "Get it in writing".
Cons
The management/ownership has extreme levels of distrust, they micromanage to the point of actually sitting and standing behind you at work on many occasions. Reading employee emails as well as listening into phone calls, instances of harassment as well as constantly being put to blame. The management also has a tendency to say wildly inappropriate and harassing things as they have a very short fuse. The place is a revolving door of turnover - more than a dozen people will leave within a year -- which is impressive given the team size is about 8 people. Blame is constantly placed on employees when things go wrong, and the interactions with management and workplace atmosphere is basically why everybody leaves the company as soon as they can get the chance. Also - there is no HR department as its a franchise, and corporate AlliedPRA office doesn't care if you're having issues with the ownership (the office sent several cries for help to report the treatment of the employees and were completely ignored) No career path and it's in an dying industry as well (DMC) - the company itself AlliedPRA is actually reducing destinations and offices. The senior leadership at the corporate office is pretty low caliber too - not vision driven, they understand sales but not how to grown and manage business.
