Pros

Free Lunch at the end of the month Onsite Gym, exercise classes and personal trainer Turkey and Wine/Cider near the Thanksgiving holiday Flexible schedule depending on department Community Involvement

Cons

Values making shareholders happy over everything. Turnover is extremely high as employees are not treated as an asset. (One of the main reasons PRA is ALWAYS hiring.) Managers are extremely unprofessional and employees do not trust them. Managers talk horribly about each other and direct reports consistently. Managers do not develop their employees into leaders and barely come out of offices to interact with those doing the hard work. There are a lot of politics, silos and lack of responsibility between departments. Qualified people are overlooked for more challenging roles while friends of senior leaders are promoted. Stakeholders do not take ownership of projects and enhancements despite requesting the changes. There is a constant battle between IT and business. Salaries are VERY disproportionate. Mistakes and failures are treated like the end of the world versus areas for opportunity and growth. People who have a difference of opinion or do not go along with the majority are managed out. A lot of firefighting versus planning accordingly and doing risk management. The IT on-boarding process is horrible (it literally takes a week or more to be set up properly). There is a lack of team building activities to boost morale. Lack of standards, process and procedures around applications, new processes and implemented frameworks.
