Pros
The payment by 'Mexican standards' is pretty good and the office is quite nice. The team is nice, knowledgeable and have expertise in their respective area. I recommend working here for the money and the work balance.
Cons
This is a studio based in the bay area but almost all the personnel are in Mexico because they want to avoid paying too much. The contract the Mexican personnel receive is as "Contractor" so they are not really full-time employees, even though they are treated as such, and on that matter, the personnel doesn't receive any benefits, even if they have multiple years working for the company. The company has a 'work for hire' environment. Almost all projects you will touch are just a small fraction of them. For example on one project, you will only do illustration, you finish and you will never see that project again. The company pretty much works on 'parts' for Casino Games. Projects are repetitive. You are basically doing exactly the same for all projects you will touch. There is no place to grow. The studio is not big so whatever position you get, you will probably be stuck with that one. The Head of Production/management hires mainly 'friends' (same deal with contractors). Lastly there are mostly guys.
