The company is family-owned and run, and that really makes a difference. At PPI, employees are not just another face in the crowd or employee number. Management, both locally in Sparta, and at corporate in Carol Stream, get to know their employees. Corporate management gives out personalized Christmas cards to each employee every year at the Christmas dinner. The Production GM comes to the dinner and shakes the hand of each individual employee while telling the employee that the company appreciates his/her hard work. Corporate and local management take the time to get to know the employees' names.
Vacations and holidays are something that is encouraged by all management because they understand that family is important.
The company is completely debt free and has never had a lay-off. Employees who work here can be secure in the knowledge that the company is not going to suddenly close or go bankrupt. The office and management teams work together to get things done and everyone helps out everyone else. Employees on the floor work hard and their managers acknowledge that hard work and dedication. When positions open up, the company looks internally to fill the position first. Current employees are given the chance to better themselves as well as the company.
