Pros
None - wouldn't trust them as employers or as a clinic.
Cons
First and foremost, the individual conducting "hair consultations" lacks any medical background. Padra Clinic is a network of "Medical Aesthetic Clinics" originating from the Middle East, specifically Kuwait, and is managed by a group of brothers, each overseeing a different location. The Toronto branch is run by the youngest brother, a recent graduate from the University of Toronto who has no formal medical training. Additionally, the primary nurse injector is not certified as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Canada. There are also reports of their Kuwait clinic being raided for employing nurses who lacked valid visas and proper clinical qualifications. The treatment of employees at Padra Clinic is another significant concern. The management practices are not in compliance with federal or provincial employment laws and standards. The company uses legal defenses aggressively to protect questionable practices. The executive team, particularly the COO, displays flamboyant misogynistic behavior and a tendency towards narcissism. Employees who raise ethical concerns or challenge the management's decisions are allegedly subjected to a hostile work environment, with some being pressured to resign (constructive dismissal) or facing termination. It is also worth noting that the two HR professionals who were committed to ethical practices have left the organization. One resigned due to constant harassment at all hours, preventing her from attending to her personal responsibilities (her toddler). The other was forced out for questioning unethical practices and advocating for fair treatment of employees. It is highly advisable to proceed with caution when considering any association with Padra Clinic.
