Pros
Unfortunately, I can only think of one. They paid for my monthly parking fee for where I parked for the company I was contracted for. They also paid me on time, however, that is a requirement, and not a "positive" aspect of the business.
Cons
No benefits to speak of, which is odd compared to other contracting companies I've looked at and utilized. No time off (ever, no matter how long you do contracts with them, may have changed by now, but was this way when I worked there), no paid vacations, even though the company I was contracted to did have paid holidays (mandatory, most times, so I couldn't even choose to work on those days), and no overtime pay, not that you couldn't *do* overtime, you just got no additional bonus. I thought this was all standard for contracts, but boy was I wrong. Once I started asking other contractors from different companies, they had many of the things that I had to go without. In addition, I was "forgotten" about for over eight months and was not even contacted by them until my contract was due to expire (it was renewed). Apparently the person handling my contract quit and they didn't find me until the company I worked for wanted to extend the contract. Extremely disappointing since other contracting companies that were used by my company (in the same department even) would come by monthly to check in with their contractor and frequently bring in cookies, snacks, and even take the contractor out to lunch. Tried on numerous occasions to get a hold of them by phone just to check in to see what was going on, and was given the runaround until finally told that the person handling my contract was no longer with the business.
