Pros

Supportive team environment — Many employees describe coworkers as collaborative and willing to help, especially when learning the product. Opportunities to learn the oil & gas software space — Good exposure to land management workflows, production accounting, and industry‑specific processes. Small‑company agility — Decisions can move quickly, and employees often have visibility into multiple parts of the business. Flexible roles — Because teams are lean, people can take on a variety of responsibilities and build a broad skill set. Customer‑focused culture — Strong emphasis on solving client issues and improving their operational efficiency.

Cons

Fast‑paced workload — Priorities can shift quickly, which may feel overwhelming if you prefer a more structured environment. Limited formal training — New hires sometimes learn by doing rather than through a standardized onboarding program.

Pros

PakEnergy truly stands out as a place where the Pak has your back. From leadership to teammates, there’s a genuine sense of support and collaboration that makes you feel valued every single day. The culture feels like family — everyone is driven to help each other succeed. What I love most is the freedom to be creative and the trust to drive meaningful success for both the company and my team. Leadership listens, encourages new ideas, and recognizes hard work. It’s an environment where you’re empowered to grow, make an impact, and actually enjoy coming to work.

Cons

Honestly, none that come to mind. PakEnergy is one of those rare companies where you feel genuinely supported and valued. The leadership truly listens, the culture is collaborative, and it’s a place where you can thrive both personally and professionally.

Pros

Strong product-market fit: The PakEnergy suite of tools is well-positioned in the oil & gas space, with clear demand and ongoing innovation. Vision and potential: The long-term vision of the company is exciting and makes sense strategically. Great coworkers: I had the pleasure of working alongside intelligent, kind, and collaborative peers. Internal camaraderie was a highlight. Fantastic clients: I met some of the best people in the field during my time in the role. The customer base is loyal and enthusiastic.

Cons

Lack of leadership engagement: Repeated outreach to the CRO and VP for help or guidance went ignored, even when performance concerns were involved. Disconnected leadership culture: There was a clear divide between new hires and tenured reps. Newer reps were often left to figure things out on their own. Poor communication and broken promises: Our team was promised access to trade shows we spent weeks preparing for, only to be removed last-minute with no explanation — one instance discovered via LinkedIn. Toxic leadership behavior: The CRO occasionally used fear-based tactics and was known to speak negatively about reps behind closed doors, without offering coaching or support. Unclear expectations: We didn’t receive formal quotas until nearly three months into the job, but were still held accountable to unclear performance standards. Sudden layoffs: Our entire team was let go shortly after a new VP was hired — someone we barely had a chance to work with before being terminated.
