Pros
There's a flexibility to the scheduling. being privately owned makes for less red tape. freedom for independent thinking and outside of box mentalities are encouraged. competitive compensation and benefits, pleasant staff, convenient work hours.
Cons
No corporate structure eliminates some safety nets in performance and disciplinary action. Wage freeze for 2009. A lack of praise for accomplishments, and on admonishments and reprimands for poor performance. A lack of distinction for top performers - and NO mentoring program to inspire growth or development. No outside manager training offered, and no tuition assistance.
