Pros
Excellent work/life balance for the most part and schedules are very flexible depending on which team you are on. Deadlines are not too aggressive and there are virtually no requirements when it comes to appropriate workplace attire. Lots of team building events including picnics, movie outings, etc. Having CBS Interactive on your resume attracts the attention of other companies looking to fill positions.
Cons
Salary is below what other companies are offering for similar positions, especially after a couple of years experience under your belt. Criteria for promotions and advancement opportunities vary greatly from team to team and often seem to be based on who a manager's buddies are as opposed to performance on the job. Everyone seems to be protecting their turf, not allowing fresh blood to suggest improvements to existing processes because it is not the way it they do it.
