Fine -- if CRO's are what you want to do for a career. If you want to use original thought or creativity, avoid this. - Research Associate Parexel Employee Review

Pros

-flexible work-schedule (esp. if per-diem). work stays at work -decent starting pay for the difficulty of the work (17/hr). good pay differentials for evenings and holidays. - some people are decent (co-workers and participants alike)

Cons

- this place becomes small so quickly -- I personally see so little room for growth. unless you've dreamt of becoming a data manager, or someone who micromanages other- this whole place really isn't that gratifying. - THIS IS THE JOB: you do procedures that are assigned to you (mainly taking blood pressures and ECG's), YOU DON'T THINK AT ALL! you simply follow procedures. you don't ask questions, you just do as your told - wait for 8hrs to be over by meandering around a far too small break room, and repeat indefinitely (while trying to keep vestiges of any enthusiasm or soul).

Pros

Well trained managers that empower you, truly listen to you, and only do well if YOU do well/ they provide resources and definitely offer development opportunities to those who want them AND have demonstrated they can maintain their scoped, regular duties at a high level of quality while working on special development projects Also unlimited RTO in US

Cons

no bonuses and too much focus/emphasis on how many years with *Parexel*, as opposed to how many years total you have been in the industry (ex doing site management at another CRO or Sponsor group )

Pros

The only pro is that they offer remote work.

Cons

I would give zero stars if I could, but since I can’t, I’m forced to give one. They seem to have layoffs almost every year. Their US-based pharmacovigilance team was also affected in 2024 and 2025. It really feels like a hire-and-fire culture.
