Pros

I worked for Partner in Publishing from 2022 to 2025. Lisa hired me straight out of graduate school and believed in me from day one. She gave me the opportunity to grow, flourish, and build meaningful connections within the organization and beyond. The skills I developed and the professional network I built during my time there have led to endless career opportunities and continued growth. I am incredibly grateful for her mentorship and for the confidence she placed in me early in my career.

Pros

I was so grateful to Lisa for hiring me soon after graduating college and giving me a change to expand upon my marketing skills. I was able to help out on a variety of teams and gain invaluable experience that not only boosts my resume, but has made me a better employee. Everyone is so friendly and eager to work together, and I was very grateful for that kindness while still getting adjusted to my professional responsibilities. They trusted my skills but also pushed me to learn new ones to become more knowledgeable in different aspects of marketing. I truly felt like everyone was looking out for me and wanted the best for me, even now as I am moving on from PIP I know everyone there has my back and would help me excel in the future if given the chance. That culture was a perfect first opportunity to grow in a professional space!

Cons

Since the company is remote you need to stay on top of your own work, but if you are proactive and organized this should not be a problem.

Pros

The variety of projects at Partner in Publishing gives you constant opportunities to build new skills and learn from everyone—from senior leaders to team members and interns—so there is genuine room to grow at every experience level. The flexibility is outstanding, with contract, part-time, and, when available, full-time roles that can adapt to different seasons of your life. During a tough job market, I watched the contract opportunities in particular help many people get through an uncertain time. Leadership truly cares—not just Lisa and Kevin, but the project leads across the company—who genuinely look out for people as individuals. They focus on helping you grow and learn, and when many companies were laying people off, they worked incredibly hard to keep as many team members employed as possible. You never feel like a number here. It's a supportive, caring culture - albeit fast past agency life, that is kind of addicting!

Cons

If you are not a go-getter personality type, a multi-tasker, or someone who is a natural problem solver you may find it difficult to work for an agency - not just PIP. You need to be someone who is proactive, have a voice, and enjoy working with a variety of project types, clients, and team members that have different experience skill levels.
