Pros
When I joined Partoo, the company had a Glassdoor score of 4.9. This was unprecedented. Why? Amazing people both in Barcelona and Paris, and a great company culture.
However, over time, the company has lost much of its initial essence. Some "strategic decisions" have led to significant discontent among employees. Many talented individuals have left due to these decisions. The company no longer feels the same; it has lost valuable people and seems to have reached a point of stagnation.
On a positive note, middle management is excellent! However, higher management lacks certain experience and stronger leadership and management skills. It’s unfortunate. The CEO has a strong vision, but it would be beneficial to have more experienced leaders alongside him.
Another point of concern is how employees are valued. It seems that there is favouritism within the company, and the majority of employees do not always feel appreciated. If you gave 2, 3, or 4 years to the company and decided to leave, the response can be disappointing—there’s little recognition for the time and effort invested. A simple “thank you” or acknowledgement of your work seems to be missing. This lack of appreciation has contributed to the company losing great talent and struggling to attract new, skilled individuals. Additionally, the compensation is not competitive, at all, especially considering the industry standards. It's exploratory in same cases.
There are also concerns regarding diversity. It has been reported that management has been hesitant to hire Latinos for roles in Spain, despite the fact that some of the company's top-performing BDRs in the past were Latinos.
Overall, I would rate my personal experience there as 4 to 4.5 stars because, at the time, it was a positive experience with great colleagues and middle management. However, higher management, particularly in the sales department, could have shown better leadership, vision and skill.
I would recommend working here if you’re not concerned with competitive pay or professional growth, as the company was fantastic to work at a couple of years ago, but things have changed.
Advantages Today:
- Fewer people competing for open positions.
- Still some great colleagues remaining.
- Strong Middle Management.
- Transparency and clear product vision.
- Laid-back and friendly atmosphere.
Cons
-Poor exploratory base pay. Ridiculous in customer success and marketing.
-Discrimination has they don't want to hire latinos speaking for Spain, even though their past and best BDRs were latinos. Decision from above.
-Current Sales Leaders who care little for you. They lost many good people and seem to prefer to hire new. Shame they don't have people wanting to join.
- No career progression.
- Comissions are bad.
- Unrealistic Pipe KPIs.
- Saturated markets where every account has been touched 1000x times.
- No touch for people management from higher management.
- Separation between Paris and Barcelona. They don't let people freely work from one or other office, even when totally justified. Resulted in people leaving.
