Pros

Great Benefits, good work/life balance, on site daycare, some nice people, great talent, inspiring mission. The name opens a lot of doors for your career post Patagonia- that in itself makes it worth it. You can be happy here many years if you are willing to be a "yes man" and tow the line.

Cons

Your experience greatly depends upon which department you are in and who your managers are. The Ventura/Santa Barbara area is absolutely fantastic, but there are few apparel companies there, so there are many people at Patagonia, mostly Managers, who have been there a long time and care more about protecting their position (and that of their friend's and relatives) than they do about making a great product and retaining talent. You need to watch what you say and whose ideas you disagree with. So many great things about this company, but if you are passionate about the product and the mission, this one point will sour you on this company.
