Pros

-Benefits (medical/dental but with high deductible) -holiday pay -sick and vacation provided -Admin days offered for those that reach monthly hours -Opportunities for training* -Gaining experience working and assisting clients with behavioral health struggles -Learning to search for resources -Hours can be accommodating -experience you will gain working one on one with youth and families. Very rewarding! -Support from clinical staff (ie) therapists that ACTUALLY WORK with clients and have experience working with clients (not just passed their LMFT to never actually practice)

Cons

-Leadership is known to be exclusive and preferential of particular staff as seen by staff that are less penalized than others for the same issues. Additionally, leadership lacks clinical experience, and practice working with clients and cannot provide support to staff as effectively. -toxicity and low morale among employees due to lack of proper training, and ethics -hefty monthly hours that can be difficult to manage unless you half perform your job. Or lie about the visits. Or work during hours that are not allowed. -issues among employees that go unresolved because management lacks training and empowerment to absolve issues that will create strain and division. -concerns regarding boundaries, professionalism, and conduct in overall employees -*training is offered on a case to case basis which means not everyone receives training that would be helpful in the degree of work performed. So demand your training! -you will use your own vehicle and you will be responsible for your own wear and tear -mileage is not always dispersed on time or at all which means you could be losing $100-$200 per month.
