Most unprofessional place I've ever worked - Software Developer PatientMatters Employee Review

Pros

Got free lunch for a while.

Cons

Was hired as a software developer. A couple of months the CEO had a meeting with all of the employees and told us that we were not a software company. (why did they hire me then?) I am pretty sure she was regurgitating what the investment firm told her as far as advice for advancing the company and did a poor job of it. My boss was laid off shortly after that to no fault of his own. He got two weeks severance after busting his butt for nearly 4 years. When that happened the software team fell under the CTO who has no business managing anyone at all let alone being the CTO of a company. He had the software team sitting in a "war room" for months while he dictated to us how he thought the software worked. When things didn't work he would get RED in the face and scream / curse up a storm. He would buy everyone lunch so that we wouldn't leave the building and could "work" (aka listen to him preach) straight through it. The HR guy leaves his door open all the time. I sat right outside of it in the beginning, so naturally I knew how much everyone in the company made, and all of the shenanigans that were going on. The CEO is the most dim witted CEO I've ever known. She is more like a glorified salesperson.
