Pros

This is without doubt the best company I've worked for. People are really motivated, passionate, want to do what is right and there is a strong social responsibility feeling within the company. What they say on there Web page is the reality of who they are. I dont feel like im working just to make sure managemwnt get their bonuses or just to make the board very rich. What we do counts. We can make a difference. The CEO is amazing. He combines a passion for the products and work we do with the vision of what can work financially. This creates a sense of security. When he talks, his passion and knowledge just shine though. I am truly proud that I can say I work for PaxVax.i work in Quality but have contacts in most departments. I can truly say that even if most people aren't maybe as enthusiastic as me they would still mostly agree.

Cons

These are not for me but some may see them as such compared to other pharma in switzerland. A 42h working week (lots of pharma offer 40h weeks (legal max is 45)) Less extra days off No small extras (big pharma often offer things like free entry to certain museums, participation in a gym fees, participation for public transport)

Pros

They are competitive on pay and benefits

Cons

QC/QA runs the show with tons of restrictions on everything. I've had emergency "ASAP" requirements to run over to address something which turned out to be crossing a blank field off a form and initialing. Management doesn't understand the large picture, company is falling into tons of money but we spend it so quick. We are lucky there is very little vaccine research companies. Changing anything is impossible Discussions on phone lead to disagreements and yelling San Diego and Switzerland don't get along. Swiss location thinks their way is the best way (always) and the two business units are completely different.
