It's still a traditional Japanese company that tries to be a global corporation. The culture is toxic, with no allowance for different ideas or opinions, you have to follow the orders, it doesn't matter if it is correct or not, they don't like surprises, nor other voices. Bad work-life balance, they want you to work hard using off time your private time, poisoned competition, the leaders want to see the teammates compete with each other and make conflicts so that they can use it to downgrade the rate because they won't give you a salary raise or bonus. They like to waste time arguing about tiny things, with no consideration of performance, scalability, or resource cost.
