Pros

They have an extensive and helpful training program for new employees and employees are benefit eligible quickly after start date.

Cons

I have no idea why this company is ranked so high. They just recently won an award for one of the top places in the area to work, I can’t fathom how that happened. Bribery? Free food and a dress down week for whoever proves then sent a positive review? That’s a very “Paychex” thing to do. There has been a point where every single member of my team has cried at their desk from the stress. Hard work isn’t appreciated, they just add more work on top of you. Poor preforming employees constantly call out and their clients are just assigned out to the rest of the team, adding to an already heavy workload. Supervisors and managers are never available to assist. There were frequently days where I would start with 70 appointments, then due to call outs or unnecessary meetings that require coverage, I’d end up with over 100 appointments, more than 30 not even being my assigned clients. So much focus is put on “ready time” it becomes difficult to do basic follow up tasks for clients while still making your required stats. So things get missed and forgotten since you have to take more calls in the middle of a task. Their internal programs are time wasters. While it’s very important to have a company culture and values, having constant meetings about them doesn’t improve the message. Most employees viewed their culture shaping meetings as a break off the phones. I knew a few that would intentionally move difficult client appointments to those times so the calls would be reassigned to another specialist. The employee turn over rate is ridiculous. Most don’t make it more than a few months after they’re done with training. It’s difficult to get into leadership roles, most job changes and transfers are just lateral moves. No one should work here and no company should use this payroll service.

Pros

Nothing is good about working here.

Cons

Nobody is ever held accountable. Pay is awful. Benefits were all moved out of state, so all providers in the area are all out of network. Jobs are being moved to India. The list goes on. Sales is the absolute favorite department in the entire company. Nothing sales can do is ever wrong, even when they give false information to clients and then the support team has to deal with the fallback. Don't get me started on Payroll.... the entire department has gone to the wind. I honestly don't know how this company ever did good with payroll services. The #1 complaint i got from every single client I interacted with was they could never get ahold of their Payroll Specialist. The company's response to this was to start making other departments learn payroll duties. This year they moved insurance benefits to a plan out of Arkansas, which made every provider I was already seeing become out of network. I had my first major medical scare of my adulthood and ended up paying a few grand out of pocket because U of R was out of network. Promotions are non existent. They make you apply and interview for any role you want to move into. There is nothing good about working here, and i would advise anyone to stay away from them.
