      Pros

      Ability to grow and job security in an area with limited IT opportunities. Many people that i had worked with had been with Paychex for 10+ years and enjoyed being employed there. Good to work with people who didn't mind going to work.

      Cons

      Got the feeling that your growth within the company followed a strict ladder. First job i interviewed for out of college they required to sign a two year contract with that position. Ended up landing a better position 2 years later that took the person I was replacing 4 years to reach by working up the ladder.

      Pros

      Paychex is a great company to work for. I’ve held multiple roles over 20+ years. There are always ups and downs, but for every position, manager, decision I disagree with, there are ten others that are outstanding.

      Cons

      It’s a large company with many opportunities to grow, but smaller companies may offer higher compensation.

      Pros

      People and the overall environment is a positive one. If you do your part, definite long term career potential. It’s not easy- but stable, growing. Worth serious consideration for early career looking for sales experience with a great training program. Also good for mid-career consideration if base salary isn’t the primary reason you are in sales.

      Cons

      Very fast pace that doesn’t suit everyone. If you are looking for easy or just a job to “hang out”, this probably isn’t the right spot for you.
