Pros

Great benefits. RSUs if you qualify.

Cons

Not sure where to start. When I started 4 years ago the culture and people were wonderful. The job was manageable and the stress was low. It’s all shifted. The culture has tanked. Team morale is depressingly low and we are tasked with taking more and more on, with no raise in compensation. My team is working countless hours of OT off the clock since we aren’t supposed to utilize OT but then we fall so far behind. The work life balance used to be wonderful. Also gone because all I think of on my days off is what I might have missed because we keep being asked to do more than our position requires and it’s like we are drowning. Was hired as work from home, now I have to come to office, which is less than 30 miles (28.7) takes me 1-1.5 hours also taking away from my work life balance. Missing my kids games and school activities due to the drive. I’m just overall sad. I was so happy to get my position here and now I’m disappointed.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We hear your concerns and understand that recent changes have had an impact on your work-life balance and job satisfaction. Leaders in Operations have been asked to work on-site for a few days each week in order to best support their new team members. We see the value in hands-on support and strive to ensure that all team members have the tools and resources to succeed. Non-exempt employees who clock in daily are required to track any hours worked and we encourage all employees to track their hours accordingly. Your dedication is valued and we are always looking for ways to improve and enhance the employee experience for everyone at Paylocity. We do suggest connecting with your manager or HR Business Partner for support. We want to ensure that you are supported and able to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Pros

Work remote. Fantastic leaders, Definitely a place I have enjoyed working.

Cons

Pay is slightly less than competitors but work life balance and culture make up for it.

Pros

There used to be many. By the time I left all of the pros had been phased out. The only pro was allowing some people to stay remote- but if you wanted to advance in your career you would be forced back in office.

Cons

Low pay. Micromanaging. Hiring leadership from outside Paylocity and even outside of the industry. Major and extreme departmental changes rapidly. Change is a part of business but in six months my role became unrecognizable. I was there for five years and had planned to be there for much longer. This last year was terrible. Low communication from all leadership. Higher and higher expectations of employees with no bonuses or pay raises to accommodate. My regional director was forcing people out and speaking badly about employees regularly.
