Pros
Paysafe has a very friendly and welcoming culture at the employee level, which makes for an enjoyable day-to-day environment. Colleagues are kind, approachable and supportive. My immediate team was highly collaborative, largely due to the way our manager and senior leader fostered that environment. The office location in London is excellent and the facilities are modern and well-equipped.
Cons
The company is highly siloed, which makes cross-team collaboration difficult and often results in duplicated efforts with limited communication between groups. The culture varies greatly depending on your manager, but broadly, there is little encouragement for continuous improvement or open feedback. Speaking up or challenging the status quo can feel discouraged rather than valued. Recognition for hard work and results is inconsistent and in some cases, leadership dynamics can create an environment where strong performance is not welcomed. The HR function is particularly problematic: recruitment often presents a vision of the company that does not align with reality and once you join, processes feel chaotic and support is difficult to access, especially for new employees unfamiliar with “who to go to.” Sensitive issues are handled in a very transactional way, with limited empathy. Leadership development, particularly around people management and empathy, is a critical area for improvement.
