Pros
The laboratory is well run and organized. I have a great department manager who keeps things running smoothly.
Cons
PeaceHealth bought our lab a few years back. We were told by the CEO that things would stay"the same or better". Immediately after the change our overtime after eight hours was cut. Our number of vacation days were cut as well. This is not "same or better". Health care requires an atmosphere of honesty, transparency and trust. These values have eroded over the past few years. Unionization has seemed to be the only way to guarantee that administration will treat us in a respectable manner.
