Pros
The single biggest pro here is the humanity. You get the sense that the founders genuinely care that the decisions we’re making are in the best interests of the employees, teachers, students, and our communities. Somehow they’ve managed to do this in the context of a startup. - Freedom to experiment and do quality work - Great appreciation of user experience and design - Emphasis on learning and development - Diversity of experience and thought - A feeling that you can be your true self here - Teachers and students LOVE the product which is motivating
Cons
Personally, I don't really have any. It is a startup and while I don't think Pear Deck suffers from much of what most startups do, I'm sure we're in for plenty of challenging change over the next few years.
